For more than 130 years, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
has quietly cared for people in need in Greater Cincinnati.
More than 550 volunteers provided more than 39,000 instances
of person-to-person care, including food, rental and utilities
assistance, clothing, furniture and companionship. Other projects
included a social services office and food pantry in the West End;
the Operation Bootstrap job readiness program; and thrift stores
which provide low-cost clothing and free items to those in need.
